Meu filho de 16 anos frequentou o programa ambulatorial intensivo por 12 semanas. Durante as últimas 3 semanas, ele começou a testar positivo novamente e os líderes do programa e do grupo se negaram a avisar a mim ou a meu marido (apesar de participar de todos os grupos familiares e de meu filho assinar uma autorização). Ao ligar para verificar um horário de aula, a conselheira de meu filho me disse que não poderia ajudá-lo e me indicou outro programa. Eles pediram desculpas por não me notificarem de sua recaída, e essa é a única coisa boa que posso dizer sobre o programa.

O programa PHP e IOP foi útil e o que eu precisava no momento, mas senti que a maior parte da empatia, motivação e apoio vieram de outros membros do grupo mais do que da equipe. Os funcionários não são pessoas ruins, eu acho que eles se preocupam com os indivíduos em algum nível, mas infelizmente fazendo uma profissão todos os dias eles perdem aquele toque genuíno. Você não pode esperar que eles realmente se preocupem com você às custas de suas regras e regulamentos, basicamente. Parece uma extensão do mundo corporativo na área de saúde mental. Sou grato por minhas experiências aqui, mas devo isso mais a mim mesmo e às pessoas incríveis que conheci, mais do que à equipe.
