Bem, por onde devo começar? Sobre o tema da Secretaria de Educação do Condado de Mendocino, tornando cada aluno um distrito estadual? Talvez o sistema Go Guardian que eles usam para "garantir que seus alunos cumpram suas tarefas", que viole qualquer forma de privacidade que os alunos tenham deixado nas escolas públicas. Os administradores podem visualizar os desktops dos alunos remotamente e sem a necessidade de permissão do aluno sendo "monitorado". Não posso deixar de pensar nas crianças que não têm acesso à Internet em casa, que estão fazendo um pedido online e precisam usar um cartão ou conta do paypal, e os administradores têm acesso direto ao número do cartão e as senhas da conta podem muito bem anotá-lo e dê a eles para que eles usem.

O MCOE é um ótimo lugar para trabalhar! Trabalho no County Office há quase 7 anos. Descobri que a cultura se baseia no valor e no respeito pelos pensamentos e idéias individuais de cada membro da equipe. Desde que cheguei aqui, encontrei muitas oportunidades de crescer e expandir minha carreira. Por ser mãe de dois filhos adolescentes, o equilíbrio entre vida e trabalho é sempre um desafio, mas não tem sido um problema desde que cheguei a trabalhar aqui. O MCOE realmente parece entender e apoiar as necessidades do funcionário.
