Eu sou um ex-educador e pai. Coloquei meu filho neste programa durante o verão na esperança de que isso o beneficiasse em leitura e matemática. Infelizmente, ele não recebeu as ferramentas educacionais de que precisava para o ano seguinte. A equipe é composta por muitos voluntários e alunos que ainda nem são professores. Eles não estão equipados para ensinar uma turma da terceira série indo para a quarta. O que eu testemunhei foi inaceitável. Revisei o trabalho de classe de meu filho para ver algumas palavras com erros ortográficos e estrutura de frase inadequada que me diz que esses "conselheiros" não estavam verificando o trabalho. Direi que o diretor e o assistente da classe dos meus filhos eram bons. A Sra. Chirbo e a Sra. Sarah estavam comprometidas. Mas alguns que foram rudes, pouco profissionais e desrespeitosos. Eles precisam voltar para a gestão de sala de aula 101. Eu testemunhei meu filho se sentir excluído às vezes e ele me disse que estava excluído das atividades e da alimentação. Ora, a desculpa era que ele tinha alergia a amendoim e por isso não podia comer frango frito e que o restaurante usava óleo de amendoim. Liguei para o restaurante e eles me disseram que usavam óleo vegetal. além disso, no primeiro dia de sua viagem, ele foi preterido e não recebeu uma caixa de suco, quando perguntei onde estava a caixa de suco de meus filhos, eles me disseram que acabaram. Isso tudo transpareceu porque meu filho ficou metade do dia no programa, mas quando passei para eles ele ainda deveria fazer parte de tudo que acontece no acampamento até que eu o busque. Recebi desculpas. Era claro para mim que eles não queriam assumir a responsabilidade por sua falta de humildade para com meu filho. Eu absolutamente não recomendaria este programa se você estiver procurando por suporte acadêmico. É composto por 90% da comunidade asiática e senti que meu filho não recebeu o apoio de que precisava. Em conclusão, existem muitos outros programas maravilhosos na área que, infelizmente para mim, estavam cheios. Lição aprendida.
