Oxford Entrepreneurs is founded in June 2002. Fiona Reid, former Executive Director of the University of Oxford's Centre for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (OxCEI) initiated the formation of Oxford Entrepreneurs in June 2002 with the objective of creating a student society at Oxford that encourages entrepreneurship. That autumn, Fiona and two students -- classics undergraduate Alex Hearn and engineering postgraduate Kaori Kuribayaski -- started building the organisation through a stall at the University of Oxford's freshers' fair, and piloting entrepreneurship events open to the whole university at the Saïd Business School.
