Lahti Talot is the largest rental housing company in the region, which owns, builds and leases rentable flats. The company has a solid position in the Lahti region. It owns approximately 7,200 dwellings across the bay of Lahti. Most of the residences are rented-out homes with competitive overhead rent. The company started operations in 1998 when the real estate companies owned by the city of Lahti were merged into a new company. In 2007, a Group was formed, consisting of a parent company and three subsidiaries. Lahti Talot Group's parent company is Lahti Talot Oy, a wholly owned subsidiary of Lahti City. It owns the Group's non-subsidized property portfolio and business premises in the city center. It employs all the Group's personnel. Of the subsidiaries, Lahden Asunnot Oy is a non-profit corporation, which is owned by arable legislation, which owns most of the Group's ara housing stock.
