The Council of Community Housing Organizations (CCHO) is a nonprofit coalition of community-based housing developers and tenant advocates that promotes the development of permanently affordable low-income housing in San Francisco. It aims to create an affordable housing policy framework and adequate funding for the creation of affordable housing. It crafts actionable public policy that shape urban development and supports resident leadership of low-income and working-class communities. The CCHO addresses issues related to land use and zoning, employment and economic development, social services and environmental justice. The Council of Community Housing Organizations was founded in 1978 and is based in San Francisco, California.
